Free cable car journey & guided hikes with Berg Aktiv

As a Berg-Aktiv member we offer guided hikes free of charge as part of the Berg-Aktiv programme and as a Free Mountain Member we provide you with a ticket for the cable cars, with which you can use the Isskogel cable cars in Gerlos (including MTB transport) and Dorfbahn Königsleiten free of charge too.

We are happy to provide you with tips and recommendations for hikes in Gerlos and in autumn you can head to the loveliest spots in Zillertal in Tyrol on guided hikes with your host, Franz.

  • Schönachtal
    Hiking path into Schönachtal (flat to ascending) to the Stinkmoosalm with dreamy panoramic view to the head of the valley, continuing to Lackenalm snack station (approx. 1400m). Other ascent options: Hiking path via Issalm to the Stackerlalm, continuing to the Pasteinalm, with views to Schönachkees.
  • Wimmertal
    Leisurely hike (tip: particularly suitable for families)
    Initially uphill through the forest – then continuing via Alpine meadows past Eggehtenalm and along Wimmerbach, through the wild, romantic valley with superb views, continuing to the Wimmertalalm snack station. Continue via Grundlochalm, Jagd- and Grundhütte up to around 1760m altitude. From here, the route continues but is for experts only, on the black mountain path up to 2500m altitude.
  • Krummbachtal
    Easy hike with three managed mountain lodges – from the Isskogelbahn car park the path proceeds via Almstüberl to the turn-off for Prölleralm – continue along the stream to the Krummbachrast snack station. Other ascent options via Nöckental to Isskogel mountain station (fitness required)
  • Wildgerlostal (Durlassboden/Finkau)
    Circuit of the lake at Durlassboden - tranquil tour (approx. 3 hours) starting at dam crest (Seestüberl) – continue along the left bank of the lake until you come to the entrance for Wildgerlostal, continue to Alpengasthof Finkau. Ascent option to Zittauer Hütte (2329m – via Leitenkammerklamm) at Wildgerlossee
  • Schwarzachtal
    Easy hike - ideal for families. 2.5 kilometre route to Schwarzachalm on the wide agricultural path which is suitable for prams. Ascent option for proficient hikers to Obere Schwarzachalm at 1630m altitude.
